Joseph Smith owned a seer stone that appeared to have been fashioned from mud, an artistic depiction of this stone is above. Joseph had several seer stones and, unfortunately, very little is known about this stone. The only information about this stone comes from eyewitness recollections of handling this stone within the vaults of the LDS church in Utah. There are no photographs of this stone available. This stone apparently had a handle for carrying and was man-made from some kind of clay. The finger impressions are still visible where the person creating it would have squished the clay together between their hands. It is also reportedly a large seer stone, about the size of a softball.
